The Betts EV46169ALTS is a 3-inch aluminum emergency valve with an external air-operated grooved 90-degree outlet and a Tef-O-Sil tapered seat.
Betts tapered seat emergency valves are designed and manufactured with Teflon-encapsulated seals for compatibility with a wide range of products. The body is constructed of aluminum with stainless steel trim, and the shear section is tested per TTMA RP84 and meets 49CFR178.345-8. Air-operated valves include an external air cylinder to help keep gasoline or other products from contaminating the air supply; the cylinder is hard-coated aluminum with a polished stainless steel shaft, a 1/8-inch NPT port for air connection, and a pre-installed fusible plug.
