Betts tapered seat emergency valves are designed and manufactured with Teflon-encapsulated seals for compatibility with a wide range of products. The body is constructed of aluminum with stainless steel trim, and the shear section is tested per TTMA RP84 and meets 49CFR178.345-8. Cable-operated valves are supplied with a universal, E-coated lever arm offering up to 8 cable travel options to work with most operators. Left-hand valves are available with the air cylinder or lever arm on the opposite side (add suffix 005); an optional screen is available (add suffix 004).
