The Betts CH47330SSTS is a 4-inch stainless steel hydraulic top unloading valve for DOT407 and DOT412 chemical cargo tanks.
The Betts CH47330SSTS Hydraulic Top Unloading Valve is an internal self-closing stop valve installed on the top of the tank for top unloading applications. It does not include a sacrificial shear section, so CFR49 178.345-8(c) requires it to be positioned within or between adjacent rollover damage protection devices. Phonographic finishes on the flange faces support proper gasket sealing, and the actuator connects via a 1/4-inch NPT hydraulic inlet port. The 316 stainless steel body and replaceable Tef-Sil seals suit the demands of chemical transportation. A 316 stainless conical adapter, sold separately, can be mounted between the tank pad and the valve and welded to a 2-inch standpipe, with a design that can be modified to fit larger pipe sizes.
