The Betts OP9114EY Mechanical Operator functions cable-operated emergency valves from a central location on a cargo tank across 4 compartments. Each compartment includes a fusible link designed to melt at no more than 250F, along with non-slip cable connectors that allow the cable to be cut to length after installation. Lever arms provide a 2-3/8-inch stroke with a 5.6:1 mechanical advantage, and two trip levers are provided for flexibility in locating the cable remote control or attaching a second remote. Provision is made for mounting a 3-way air valve (part no. 20761, sold separately) on the side of the operator, which is actuated whenever any compartment is opened to ensure air vents are energized when an emergency valve opens. This compact design uses a non-lubricated stainless shaft and solid handles.
