The Betts PPVL720CXB Manhole Assembly is a 20-inch clamp ring style manhole with an integral PAF 406-98 surge suppression pressure relief valve for DOT406 and TC406 cargo tanks. The 10-inch reclosing pressure relief valve meets the dynamic pressure surge requirements of 49CFR178.345-10(b)(3)(ii) with less than one liter of leakage as tested per TTMA RP No. 81, and its cover doubles as a quick-open inspection hatch with a secondary safety catch. This assembly includes a 6496 P/V normal vent. The manhole cover and strongback are constructed of 304 stainless steel, while the PRV cover is E-coated aluminum and the normal vent is aluminum, with Buna-N gaskets throughout. It is certified per 49CFR178.345-5 with a 36 psig test pressure. The weld collar is not included and should be selected separately to match the tank shell material.
