The BTI 8-699-822650 is an 8-inch Series 699 sanitary butterfly valve in a wafer body style with a PTFE (Teflon) seat, designed for chemical and food-safe applications. The disc and stem are constructed from 255 duplex stainless steel, which is more corrosion resistant than 316SS and approximately twice as strong, allowing for a thinner disc profile without sacrificing structural integrity. Acetal stem bushings on the top and bottom provide seize-free operation, and the precision-machined top plate accepts manual handle kits or actuators via standard ISO patterns.
