LPG Tanker Trailers for Sale

Unlike most tank trailers that haul liquids, LPG tank trailers haul pressurized gasses. Specifically, they transport liquified petroleum gas (LPG), including propane, butane, and anhydrous ammonia. This requires specialized barrels that can handle high pressure and are non-reactive. Any LPG gas truck must be reliable, safe, and durable, which we understand well at Littlejohn.

The new LPG tankers for sale here are built to MC 331 standards. These standards require manufacturers take certain measures and use specific materials that can handle the volatile cargo. LPG tankers have their unique look with rounded ends in order to minimize the affects of pressurized gas, something required by the MC 331 standard. Manufacturers also typically paint them white, to prevent additional heat absorption.

Also, these tankers have stainless steel barrels that are remarkably durable and can last on the road for decades. Furthermore, their capacities range up to 12000 gallons, allowing fleets to deploy significant amounts of LPG fast. Additionally, they can handle pressures up to 500 PSI, so they can haul a variety of gasses at different pressures.

In addition to the tanker, lots of specialty equipment is required for MC 331 tankers. Here at Littlejohn, we know the job doesn't stop with a tank truck, and we assist with everything from parts to financing. Get a quote today from our expert team!
